Hello friends!
It's been a little over a year since I have been regularly wearing lolita. I wanted to feature some of my favorite pieces that I accumulated! It's difficult to pick my favorites, so I have to set a hard cutoff at 5. In no particular order, here we go~
Cornet Black and Off-White OP
This is definitely one of my most favorite pieces! I love how wearable it is, and the details are so pretty. I always loved Cornet's lace usage and consistency of their designs, and black and white is one of my favorite color combinations. It is everything that I love about old school lolita.
This probably isn't the best coord, but I was just excited to finally wear it out. I think it would be super cute with some white bloomers peeking out. I have a lot of head accessory options that I can pair with it too!
Handmade White JSK
This is the very first lolita dress I sewed, and it has undergone a lot of alterations since then. However, it really sparked my love for shiro lolita, and I still love this dress so much! I added a lot of lace and details, but I love that it is fully cotton and can be washed pretty easily. (One time, a cat actually doo-dooed on this dress, but luckily I could get it clean)
I'm also really happy that I made a lot of my shiro lolita pieces, since I'm able to make my whites match. I don't love when my whites are different shades, except when I'm doing it intentionally. I'm so excited to recreate some of my favorite old school looks with it!
VISIBLE by Reiko Matsuyama OP
What a dream piece! I have admired this snap featuring the long sleeved version of the OP, and I jumped at the chance to get the short sleeve version. I love the short sleeves more actually, since it looks really pretty and flared when your arms are bent.
Unfortunately, it is really small, and I thought it would look longer on me. I tried adding some lace trim to lengthen it slightly. Also, the buttons do tend to gap slightly when I move around, but fashion tape helps with it!
Cornet Burgandy JSK
I honestly didn't expect to love this as much as I did, but I got it in a bundle with the other Cornet OP and I am over the moon! I love the short length of Cornet pieces, and the full skirt is super adorable and drapes really nicely. I love the color as well, since dark reds are a major staple in my wardobe. This was also the first jsk I wore with an ivory blouse, and it pairs so perfectly.
Cornet Pink OP
I mulled over getting this for several months, because it was a bit expensive, but I had been on the search for a simple pink OP! I decided to message the seller with an offer, and luckily they accepted. I don't regret this purchase, as I'm a big Cornet fan if you couldn't tell already!
It just looks so angelic and beautiful on. I love the subtle floral stitching and the unique cut of this piece. I've only ever seen the white skirt version of this cut before! It is a bit different from most other Cornet designs, but you can still tell they designed it.
Honorable Mention: Altered Bodyline Francoise OP
Okay, I cheated a bit! I guess this is number 6 haha. This is a bit of an unusal pick, because this OP is not particularly detailed or expensive. However, I have really been wanting a red velveteen OP with white accents, and the ones I have come across are either scalped or got snatched before I could buy it LOL!
I did alter this from the original design, and now it reminds me of this Angelic Pretty OP. I think it's super simple and elegant. I also love that this Bodyline OP is relatively more wearable than other velveteen OPs. I would still love to own one of my dream velveteen pieces one day, but I'm really happy with this affordable piece!

That's all! I haven't been writing a lot of blog posts, but I hope to have one at least once a month.
See you next time~
